Our Brand slogan that we live by is that we are More than Mining. In the aim to stand by what we say, we initiated a CSR project that both helps the community and helps us stay intact with what we believe in. More than Mining by definition is simply we do more than just Mine. We care and we want to show that we care. Last week, we started of our CSR project by identifying a problem in our community that we would be able to assist with in some sort of way. We identified that poverty was a huge problem in our community and seeing as it is Christmas, we wanted to do something to help.

The PRO's of Swakop Uranium personally went into one of the most poverty stricken areas in Swakopmund, well known as DRC. They went to identify families that are in great need of help so that we can try to help them in some way or another. We decided that seeing as these families have no food to eat for Christmas, we would donate Food Hampers to them.


On the 24th of December 2019, we transported forty families from DRC to the Swakop Uranium offices in town and handed these Food Hampers to them.


These people were filled with gratitude and joy for the gesture made to them.
