SU donates to the Twaloloka Community

On the 28th of July, Swakop Uranium, one of the mining giants in Erongo did their first donation of beds, blankets, mattresses, and pillows to the value of approximately N$ 100 000.00 as part of its corporate social responsibility to the local community of Twaloloka who had lost everything they had in a terrible fire that occurred on Sunday night. An estimate of 50 families was affected by this traumatic ordeal.

Swakop Uranium and its employees plan to do a second donation sometime next week after a needs analysis is done to determine the housing reconstruction requirements. The donation will consist of food, clothing, blankets, and building materials.

We take hands with the local community and hope that they will have shelter soon and be able to regain their livelihood.
