Swakop Uranium donates 2000 Surgical Mask and Sanitizer to the Namibia Police and National Defense Force.

Swakop Uranium has been closely following the developments of Covid-19 globally and more so in Namibia and the impact thereof.

President Hage Geingob made an appeal to the nation for support of any kind; in the fight against what many have called "the invisible enemy".

The company through the Swakop Uranium Foundation reached out to Key Stakeholders to offer assistance and to better understand the most urgent needs in the community brought about by the pandemic.

Nampol and NDF have a joint operation in the fight against the Corona virus. Law enforcement is particularly important in this challenging time. The Namibian Police and Defense Force are responsible for ensuring that citizens adhere to these regulations, making themselves vulnerable to contracting the virus. SU recognizes the risk and appreciates the importance of law enforcement in the fight against the Covid-19.

On Friday, 24 April 2020, Swakop Uranium donate; 2000 surgical masks, 50 liters of hand sanitizers and 500 hand gloves to the Namibian Police and Defense Force in Erongo Region.

Mr. Patrick Chizabulyo, VP: HR & OOC, who represented the company at the event reiterated SU's commitment to support Namibia, wherever possible. The Erongo Regional Commissioner, Mr. Andreas Nelumbu praised the company for its continual support and said the donation will be channeled towards its intended purpose.
