The SU Family gathered on the 27th of October 2021 for the SU Birthday Celebration Event, under the theme “Grow with the Company” to celebrate employees born during October.

The month of October has a total of 150 SU birthday celebrants of which fifty-two were randomly selected from all departments to attend.  The EXCO team, PPD, HRM and PRO HODs were also in attendance.  The SU Business Operations Brief was presented by the 3 HODs in attendance and is intended to give attendees a glimpse into the company status especially around Business Performance.

Mr Qiu welcomed all attendees in his opening remarks and wished all celebrants present and absent a joyous birthday.  He also extended good wishes on behalf of the company to the celebrants for the new age.

Mr Qiu thanked the attendees for their dedication and commitment during the year and proceeded to share some of the challenges currently faced by the company and encouraged all to take ownership of the company and highlighted our common goal as a motivator.

The celebration continued with a fun line-up of exciting team-building games and the winning team members were all pleasantly surprised with a goodie bag each. Team Busy Beez emerged victorious after overcoming the brave attempts of Team Husab Giants, Team Power Rangers and Team Fantastics. Well done to all teams, you surely made the Game Session very entertaining and an item to look forward to.

The SU Birthday Celebration Event includes a Feedback Session, the session allows attendees an opportunity to post questions to management and have their questions answered.  This is an excellent engagement platform for employees to ask questions of concern, make suggestions and get clarity.
